From 1881 Cencus it would appear that Ernest was born in Mexico and was a Lieutenant in the Irish Militia born in 1864 and lived with his Mother Ellen Griffin (Surgeons Widow Aged 55)and two brothers ,Marcus Born about 1862 in Plymouth and William N G born about 1855 in Mexico
